This monkeyflower hybrid is a selection from plant breeder Richard Persoff, part of his trade marked Jelly Bean series. Selected for its large frilly, brick-red blossoms edged in orange which provide interest and forage for pollinators all summer long. Compact plants 18 inches to 2 feet tall and wide. Full to part sun in lean well drained soil. Great with other droughty western natives or Mediterranean plants or even in containers. Pinch back spent flowers for more blooms prolonged by occasional summer water. Hardy to 15-20 degrees USDA zone 8.
