Recently introduced, this high mountain century plant, rather large-growing, to 5ft or more, has bold, deep gray-green leaves forming large single rosettes before occasionally pupping.Ā Eventually produces a red-stemmed flower stalk approaching 20ft tall!.Ā Perfect windowsill plant ā NOT! This form appears to have had some dealings with nearby A. scabra as it has a bluish cast to the leaves not often found in the species.Ā OccasionalĀ garden water and sun to partial shade. Frost hardy at 10 to 15F, bottom of USDA zone 8. Otherwise a wonderful large container specimen.
