Magenta flowers with deep red anthers in spring and early summer held on long stems. Easy in all but the hottest afternoon sun. Drought tolerant when established but occasional summer water for best looks. Leaves tinged red with cooler winter weather. Deer and rabbit resistant. Evergreen in zone 8, root hardy to USDA zone 4.
