This South African succulent, and close relative of the genus Aloe, grows to about 10 inches around. Squared gray-green leaves have a texture somewhat resembling a book-end and are covered in small white polka dots. Orange flowers are shaped like a small stomach (as the genus Gasteria implies). Very good container plant or garden plant with good drainage and full sun. Hardy to USDA zone 9.
