Stunning and rare epimedium found only in China's Wushan mountains, with long, to 10", and narrow, deeply veined leaves with distinct spines along the edges and red new growth fading to bronze before turning a lush green. Spring flowers are pale yellow and densely held above the foliage on stems to 2ft tall. Part sun or light shade is best with regular summer water. Frost hardy to at least -20F, USDA zone 5 and expected to tolerate colder temperatures. Also said to be deer resistant.
