*RETAIL - Daphne tangutica [Retusa Group]
A choice and rare offering with dense, 3ft tall by 3ft wide mounds of narrow deep green foliage. Dark purple buds open to pink-flushed white flowers, mostly in spring but happily popping up at almost any other time of the year if temperatures are not freezing. As well, orangey-red berries are produced on happy plants, adding to its fall and winter interest. Like other Daphnes, free drainage, bright light to dappled shade, occasional summer water, though this one is pretty drought tolerant, and little soil disturbance. Cold hardy to USDA zone 6.
