Named for our pal, Riz Reyes, this large, broad-leaved, evergreen shrub, to 10-20 ft tall and as wide, has dark green leaves with conspicuous veins resembling the Cinnamomum trees. Flat clusters of pink buds open to white flowers followed by blue berries in the fall. These natives of western China are best in sun to part shade with regular summer water. Frost hardy in USDA zone 8.
