Our favorite oak since our first sighting in Arizona in the 1980s, these are exquisite trees reaching 25 ft tall x 15 ft wide. This collection from 9100', with leaves reminiscent of an upheld olive. Fast growing when young then slowing to a sedate pace. Sun, lean and well-drained soil and little summer water once established. Frost hardy to USDA zone 7; quite possibly low to mid USDA zone 6. Makes a gorgeous and striking garden specimen orĀ street tree.
