Often low branching or multi-trunked, showing off beautiful silvery bark shedding to reveal a handsome patchwork of white, green and brown on mature wood. Native from eastern to central China, young trees are best with regular water, requiring only periodic deep watering in summer once established. Full sun and rich well drained soil. Excellent in a large container or Bonsai training. USDA zone 4.
