This stately shrub to small tree, a narrow pyramidal 10 to 12 feet; is indispensable in warmer gardens. Flowering abundantly in mid to late autumn with deep orange and yes, if you squint, nearly red flowers. The same wonderful fragrance of warm baking apricots will perfume the evening garden. Sun to dappled shade, even summer water with good drainage. keep out of freezing wind in colder areas. USDA zone 8, 7 if well hardened.
