This collection from Figuroa Peak by friend of Cistus Julian Lawrence, appearing almost to be the artificial trees one might put in a model railroad, growing out of the associated chaparral of woody dryland shrubs. Broadly conical to 50' with 1 to 2 inch needles and indeed, particularly large cones. Excellent for the dry garden and always a conversation piece. Full sun USDA zone 7 possibly 6.
