Flower heads last into winter, turning deep rust and continuing to be decorative. Full sun to avoid sprawl and good drainage. Drought tolerant but happy with occasional summer water. Can be cut back to refresh before spring growth. Frost hardy to 15F, mid USDA zone 8.
