Baccharis pilularis 'Pistol Pancake'
A Cistus introduction, from northern Curry County Oregon, on a windswept bluff sporting many low-growers. In habitat this grew only to about 4" in height by about 3 feet in width; 2.5 ft. x 5 ft. in garden conditions. Evergreen with fall and winter flowers of light cream are pollinator magnets, this makes an excellent medium scale ground cover or deeper green addition to the blues and golds of the Mediterranean landscape. Summer drought adapted full sun to dappled shade USDA zone 8.
