A 2021 Cistus Nursery introduction. From a special site along northern California's Klamath River, comes an upright round-topped small tree 12-14 feet tall with an 8-10 ft spread. Rich orange-brown bark and large olive to light grey-green leaves to about 3 inches. Winter flowers held on branching trusses of nearly white bells, excellent winter forage for hummingbirds and other native pollinators. Full to partial sun, decently drained soil. Tolerant of occasional summer water, adapted to summer dry conditions when established. Cold hardy to USDA zone 7.
